The global pandemic of 2020 affected the world and had a great impact on the people of New York City. Many residents lost their jobs and loved ones which has caused significant changes in their lives. This resulted in an increase in grief and anxiety in communities with limited access to appropriate treatment centers. The events of COVID19 were the catalysts to starting Brooklyn Healthy Mind 360.
Wendy McIntosh is the founder of Brooklyn Healthy Mind 360, a mental health treatment and counseling center. She has over 19 years of professional nursing experience and is a 4-year Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She treats teenage and adult patients.
NP McIntosh has dedicated her expertise to treating patients' mental health. She worked as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Harlem Hospital, Services for the Underserved, and Institute for Community Living. She currently works at the NYS Office of Mental Health, Manhattan Psychiatric Center. NP McIntosh received her Master’s degree in Nursing at Stony Brook University and her Bachelors in Nursing at SUNY Downstate, College of Nursing.
NP McIntosh is patient centered. She provides a professional, supportive, and understanding environment. NP McIntosh doesn’t just ask questions and take notes, she helps you understand what she is observing and how events in your life may have affected your mental health.
Patients love NP McIntosh for her active listening and ability to cater to each individual's unique needs.
NP McIntosh treats patients with mental health disorders such as ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression. She offers a holistic approach in which she caters to her patient’s unique needs. She also uses a combination of psychotherapy and pharmacology to treat her patients.
Board certified in psychiatry, NP McIntosh is thoroughly trained in the most modern applications of both treatment approaches.
